Puppy Pricing Structure
Why invest in a Fianna puppy?
With a vision for building something meaningful, our founder brings a blend of big-picture thinking and hands-on experience. They set the tone for everything we do.
Fianna Puppy Skills Package - mandatory - $300 (6 - 10 weeks)
Fianna Puppy Deposit non-refundable - $200
Once your application has been reviewed and approved, a $100 non-refundable waitlist fee is required to secure your spot on our waitlist. This fee will be applied toward the total purchase price of your future puppy.
Once the puppies are between 2-3 weeks old families who would like to reserve a puppy from the litter must submit an additional $100 non-refundable deposit. Together, the waitlist fee and puppy deposit total $200, which will be credited toward the final purchase price of your puppy.
The deposit is used to AKC DNA test and complete UC Davis’ collie panel on your puppy. You will receive a copy of these results with your puppy’s take-home file.
In the event that a litter does not result in a puppy for you, your deposit can be moved to a future litter or refunded at our discretion.
Fianna Puppy Base Price - mandatory - $2,500
The base price is derived from the average Collie price at any given time. ANY Collie puppy you purchase should come from parents that have been health tested to breed club standards (at minimum). Puppies should also be examined by a veterinarian, dewormed/vaccinated, and come with a purchase contract.
Our puppies are all produced by health-tested parents with proof readily available.
Puppies are dewormed every 2 weeks of age and then started on heartworm and flea/tick prevention when age appropriate.
Puppies are examined by a veterinarian and vaccinated by 9 weeks of age. They may receive one additional vaccine prior to placement depending on timelines.
An opthalmic (eye exam) is performed at 9 weeks of age to screen for Collie Eye Anomaly.
All puppies are sent home with a puppy pack that includes comprehensive health records, food, toys, and other puppy essentials/fun surprises.
We sell all our puppies under a contract that will be reviewed with you prior to purchase and signed by both parties when the puppies are sent home.
Every puppy we raise comes started with the following basic skills:
Crate training - all puppies understand crating and have been transitioned to an individual crate for sleeping overnight, as well as for several hours during the day. They are quiet when crated and wait calmly to be released.
Engagement - the puppies learn that people and treats mean it’s time to pay attention! They understand training sessions and are ready to learn.
Barrier and threshold training - respect for gates and doors, waiting for release from kennel/pen
Basic commands - sit, down, stand, implied stay, watch me, come when called, and other impulse control behaviors
Grooming - multiple baths as puppies grow, introduced to the force dryer with positive reinforcement, multiple nail trims with both clippers and dremel, introduced to brushing, and ear taping.
Introduction to trick training - touch, paws up/foot targeting, tunnel, etc.
Leash walking - all puppies are started with leash training
Potty training - puppies are started on potty training and are comfortable going potty in a yard space on leash
Socialization - puppies go on multiple exposure outings to meet a variety of people and dogs and to experience a variety of circumstances
**All skills must be continued at home! We have started all of these behaviors for you, so that you are off to a really great beginning. All behaviors must be maintained, practiced, and built upon as your puppy grows.
